My Story

Pati grew up in a loving family and made a personal
decision to follow Christ as a young teenager. She
grew in her faith through the helpful ministries of
her church youth group, Young Life and Campus
Crusade for Christ.
Even as a child, she was a little entertainer as a
singer and dancer...performing in the neighborhood
garage shows all summer long. In high school she
excelled as a vocalist and in creative speech
competitions. She majored in Graphic and
Communication Arts in college. After graduating,
she explored the world of storytelling through many
workshops. Pati studied Biblical storytelling under
Master Storyteller Sarah Meybaum.
Pati attributes her love of storytelling to her fun
grandmother - Oliva Anderson Kachel, who always
could entertain their family with her remembrances
of growing up as a Norwegian Lutheran on a farm in
Paynesville, Minnesota.
A good sense of humor and a good sense of wonder
of how great God is continue to please her audiences
wherever she performs.
